Ian has practised as a Remedial Massage Therapist (RMT) and a Yoga teacher for 24 years. Ian has completed an Advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy and a Diploma of Yoga Teaching. Ian is classic Hatha Yoga trained but practises an eclectic style. Originally studying at the Lockyer Valley School of Natural Therapies, Ian has worked in his own practise in a variety of locations in the Lockyer Valley and Toowoomba. Most recently Ian was situated at the James Neil Medical Centre for 8 years until currently joining the team of professionals at Toowoomba Natural Health Clinic. Ian is looking forward to working collegially with the team of Naturopaths.
Ian is a Life Member of Massage & Myotherapy Australia (the peak industry body) with many years’ experience working behind the scenes at Director and Board levels to promote the profile of the organisation and hence, the benefits of Remedial Massage Therapy and other complimentary approaches to wellness. By incorporating yoga into his therapist work, Ian not only benefits his clients but also his own wellbeing. Ian is passionate about the benefits of Yoga breathing and stretching techniques to enhance his capacity of endurance and flexibility when working long hours in his practise.
