These are unusual and stressful times that we are living in at the moment as COVID-19 sweeps the globe and we try to prepare for the potential impact. We would just like to update you on how the clinic and your appointments may be affected.
For those of you that already have an appointment, if you would feel more comfortable to change to a phone consult or skype consult please respond to your confirmation text with what you would like to do. We also look forward to seeing you in the office, below is some details on what we have implemented to keep you safe.
At this time it is important to be boosting your immune system, so keep in mind if you need any herbals mixes etc or if you would like to chat to have a 10minute phone consult with one of our Naturopaths who can prescribed top quality immune-boosting herbs and supplements which are able to be posted out to you or collected from the clinic. We are continually ordering from our suppliers to keep up the demand for our patients so if there is anything you usually take and we are out please ask for what alternatives we have J
At the moment we are a hug and hand shake free zone and we would also ask that you wash your hands when you arrive for your appointment there is also hand sanitizer at the front desk. If you are feeling unwell or have recently travelled overseas, please let us know and we can easily change your appointment to phone or Skype. This is a great way to speak with your practitioner and really get the best advice and natural medicines to keep you well.
In the clinic we have stepped up our usual cleaning practices and are also disinfecting all surfaces and door handles constantly. Magazines and toys have been removed from reception so feel free to bring a book if you would like to take advantage of some quiet time to yourself if you arrive early.
As mentioned before one of the most important things we can do for ourselves and our families at this time is to strengthen our immune systems and our bodies natural defences. I think that this virus has been a great reminder of the importance of having good health and practicing what I consider common sense good health practices.
It is a great time to focus on your health and try to keep as well and healthy as you can. Bump up your intake of fresh veggies and immune boosting foods, ensure you are also drinking plenty of water and prioritise sleep. Good quality sleep is one of our best immune boosters! Also limit sugar and alcohol which are both known to depress the immune system.
